Setting up and managing veterinary border inspection centers.
Setting up and managing veterinary border inspection centers.
As the number of livestock entering the United Arab Emirates (passing through the veterinary quarantine points of the ministry of water and environment) via land from neighboring countries or airports or sea ports that livestock are licensed to enter through them has increased, the responsibilities on the ministry (through the veterinary quarantine check points) has increased as well, as the technicians examine all the animal shipments and ensure they are in good health before granting them admission to the country, or rejecting the shipment if proven infected with any of the epidemic animal diseases especially that some of the diseases are widespread in some parts of the world.
This comes from the care of the UAE not to grant admission to the livestock from these parts of the world as some of these diseases can cause serious health problems to humans.
As Oasis Livestock company is keen to become a strategic partner with the UAE government in all what is related to livestock in order to support the relevant governmental entities that are responsible to protect the animal welfare and the health and safety of the humans, and as it is also keen to be the pioneer in livestock services it decided to set up and manage veterinary border inspection centres in countries bordering UAE near border ports to examine livestock physically and to examine their blood samples microscopically before it enters the country.
We started our first veterinary examination centre (The National veterinary centre) in the city of Al Buraimi in the Sultanate of Oman. It is licensed from the relevant authorities in the Omani Ministry Of ins-1Agriculture, and equipped with all of the latest laboratory equipment and supervised and run by specialized laboratory technicians.
Through it we examine the exported livestock from Oman to the UAE and perform the needed blood tests and issue free from illness certificates. This comes from our interest to facilitate and ease the livestock exportation from the Sultanate of Oman, and to give confidence that any shipment examined by the National Veterinary Centre is completely free from diseases.
This step comes from the keen of the company to ensure the safety of livestock shipments belonging to us or to other companies coming from the Sultanate of Oman to save time and money and to ensure the safety of the animals which reflects positively on the consumers in the UAE. It is worth mentioning that this centre is the first in a series of other centres to be set up in the future in other bordering countries to the UAE.
